Something is mystifying to kids about iPhones and iPads. They always want to get their hands on one to play with the touchscreen.
One button, in particular, is especially tempting to kids, but annoying to parents when they let their children play with their phone. That button is the big round “home” button.
There needs to be an iPhone/iPad case that you can quickly set into “child mode,” where all the ports and the home button are covered up and can’t be accessed (or drooled into). Parents should be able to quickly change the mode between “child-mode” and “normal mode.”
Maybe there can even be a standardized portion of the screen where access to all parent stuff in the apps are located, that can also be covered up in child mode.
There are child-resistant covers out there, but none that I’m aware of would work particularly well.
Do you know of any good child-resistant phone or tablet covers? Let me know in the comments.
